Pulau Tidung - Jakarta

Visited 4 of 1000 on this island chain an hour and half boat ride from Jakarta. Average scene and bit crowded because of the long weekend. Sharing some handpicked photos of the place, the people and the scenes.

Me.

Me again.

These photos below taken using my mobile phone. Please bear with the quality. Good day.

Tri-bikes. Two persons seated at the same time with my size wouldn't fit though.

The speed boat that brought us to the main island from Jakarta.

Anticipation. Queue for banana boat and rubber tubes pulled by a speedcraft.

Taman Safari Indonesia

One of our weekend getaways from Jakarta's concrete jungle to it's neighboring tourist attractions. It's an hour and a half travel by road if you leave early from the city and expect your travel time doubled going back to Jakarta because of the traffic.

Pretty neat for a Jungle Safari and you can get up-close to the animals inside the convenience of your own vehicle. I just wondered along the way, at the road leading to the entrances of the Safari these carrot vendors lining up the streets, do people here really like to eat this orange veggie? It's an abundance as we pass the lined up stalls and I just realized when we are inside the safari, those were intended for animal consumption only.
